KABUL, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have launched development projects in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni and Logar provinces, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported on Friday.
The construction of two roads has begun in Ghazni city, the provincial capital of Ghazni, providing transportation facilities to local people.
Meanwhile, Afghan authorities have inaugurated canals in Pul-e-Alam, the provincial capital of Logar, and Baraki Barak district of the province to benefit thousands of households.
The Afghan interim government plans to launch more development projects across the war-ravaged country to address economic challenges and create jobs. ■
